【Project DIVA Extend】Golden Holy Night Blending Into The Frost And Snow (JPCSP/Fraps 720p HD)
November 26, 2011
Ok, I base most of these English titles on what I find in the Project DIVA wiki. But I have a hard time believing that the connotative (and I stress connotative, not denotative) translation of this title is "Golden Holy Night Rotting Into The Frost And Snow". Looking up "朽ち" on the Google translator shows "decayed" as a translation. The words "rot" and "decay" in English have a negative connotation to them and I'm wondering if in the Japanese language these words or more passive or neutral and don't emote such a bad taste.
For the time being, I am going to use the word "blending" instead of "rotting" as it seems to fit the connotation of the meaning and the song better to me. I may be way off base, but it's my best guess for someone who doesn't know any Japanese.
If there's anyone who's fluent in Japanese who can help explain this, it would be most cool and I'll be happy to change the title to whatever is a good English translation.
